Thomas Foertsch – Founder, Chief Executive Officer

A strategic leader and seasoned financial services professional with an early career on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), Thomas is a high-performing, C-Level Executive with a proven history of success in new business development, risk mitigation, process improvement, and operations management. Possessing a powerful ability to identify new, unexpected opportunities, he has launched four companies from the ground up and played an integral role in developing the most successful institutional investment product on the CBOE today.

Specializing in the comprehension of market conditions and business dynamics, he implements innovative solutions that protect industries against global market risk and facilitate cost reductions and increased operational efficiencies. A results-driven, collaborate leader and coach, Thomas teaches CEOs and organizations to embrace change, adopt fresh approaches, and utilize analytics and data to promote empowered decision making. His wide breadth of experience would be a proven, added value to any organization looking to foster long-term success.


Michael Menslage – Managing Director, Research

Michael joined Exchange Capital Resources in 2014. Michael’s main focus will be research on macroeconomic events. Michael has been developing a proprietary macroeconomic multiple regression model over the past 15 years.

He began his career in the industry in 2000 working on the trading desk of Charles Schwab & Company.  In 2002 Michael became a member and sole proprietor trader on the Chicago Board of Trade. From 2003-2012 Michael was responsible for business development, research of index strategies, and sales for a number of different financial technology firms including: Edge Specialists, Activ Financial Systems, and Newedge.

In 2013, Michael headed up the US business development for Celera Financial Group.
